Our first long road trip was to Grant, Nebraska ... a five and a half hour trip. Did I mention that it felt like FOREVER. Kids certainly change the pace and ease of road trips. :o) We went to Grant to celebrate Lauren's (my niece) 1st birthday! Once at Grant, the cousins all had fun playing together.
Ayden and Evan ... happy ... for now.
FREEDOM from the car!
Ayden and Evan were happy to roam free at the rest area. This particular rest area is the one that Shane took me to when we were first dating. We hat a picnic at it. One thing you should know, is that this rest area is just east of North Platte, Nebraska ... about 3 hours away from
Bennet. It happens to be my favorite/prettiest rest area EVER, which is why Shane took me there for a picnic.

Ayden and Evan decided they needed a break from running around ... luckily the curb was just the right height for them to have a seat on.

But man, did she enjoy her cake!
