November 2009 Recap

Here is a recap of November 2009.
Evan and Ayden like to wherever Mommy is ... so they were "helping" me do the laundry.

On November 8, 2009, Shane and I had the boys dedicated to the Lord. It's our desire to raise our children to follow and love the Lord. Today was our expression of our faith and commitment to the Lord. Ayden and Evan behaved wonderfully that service!

Pastor Kyle Helmink (a dear friend of Shane's and mine), prayed over the boys and prayed over us as parents.

Family photo! Shane's holding Ayden, and I was lucky enough to hold Evan.

Our close friends, Christine and Bryce Wilson, dedicated their son, Jace, to the Lord as well. It's a time we'll always be able to share.

Evan and Ayden took the day off from playing to go out to Henderson, Nebraska ... to help G'ma and G'pa Wiebe harvest. Much to our surprise the boys weren't afraid of the noises.
Evan and Ayden kept pretty busy watching how the combine works!

Ayden's seat was an up-close one ... pressed against the window.

Evan preferred to hold onto something.

G'pa Wiebe and Evan ... I personally like how Evan is holding onto G'pa's thumb. He must have needed a little comfort.

G'pa Wiebe with Evan and Ayden after a hard day's work! Little did we know at the time, that this harvest would be G'pa's last harvest. Next year they are having someone else do the planting and harvesting for them.

All of a sudden, Evan and Ayden were REAL quiet, so I search throughout the house to find them. "Quiet" is never a good thing ... it means they are doing something they shouldn't. We'll, I found them by the TV. They had opened the door and pulled out ALL of the books they could find. They thought it was a blast!

Evan and Ayden like hiding/playing in this little cubby hole in our desk ... it's just their size.

Ayden's thought had to have been, "Silly Daddy!"

Ayden and Evan were BUSY playing G'ma Weibe's piano. We were all at the farm to celebrate my 28th birthday ... this must have been a special piece the boys had been working on for me.

Ayden was busy showing off his tricks.

A tradition we have is to give the boys a new Christmas ornament every year. But we made it even more special by determining the day after Thanksgiving is the day that they (or any other kiddos we have someday) get their new ornaments!
